About Me

Due to CO-VID19 I will only be able to tutor online however, I dont think that should stand in the way of a fun and interactive learning experience. I am a bright and confident teacher and believe that developing a rapport with my students is extremely important. I also think that that the student should be involved in deciding the topics and focuses of the lesson. Maintaining a clear structure so that progression and learning can occur is important to me but I also believe that students thrive when they are passionate about what they are learning. I aim to have the students as passionate about their subject as I am by the end of each lesson!

I am a final year student at the University of Bristol studying Psychology.
I have 3 A levels in Maths, Biology and Psychology and an AS level is Economics.
I have 13 A*-B grade GCSE's, completed at a top-tier state school.

Experience / Qualifications

I have experience in tutoring through the charity Jacari. Jacari teaches English to young and vulnerable children who are struggling in school due to English not being the primary language spoken at home. For a year I worked with an 8 year old boy, travelling to his home to improve his spelling and writing. During my time with the family I developed a wonderful relationship with them and watching my tutee improve was a source of great pride for me.

I am a qualified and experienced mathematics tutor. Graduated from the Free University of Brussels in 2011, I started my career by teaching remedial courses in different schools in Brussels. I then specialized in individual academic support by following educational training at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I have been giving private mathematics lessons daily for over ten years.

The students who follow my private lessons benefit from personalized support. The first session is devoted to an in-depth assessment of the student's mathematical knowledge. The objective is to detect its weak points and understand their origin in order to adapt my courses to its needs. Throughout my years of training, I studied and developed numerous techniques that facilitate learning mathematics. I am passionate about this profession because it offers me the opportunity to guide struggling students toward success. I offer private tutoring in Paris (at the student's home) or remotely (online). My online lessons take place on an interactive whiteboard. This whiteboard is specifically designed to facilitate student/teacher interaction online. Thanks to this teaching tool, my online lessons are just as effective as in-person lessons. The student only needs an internet connection and a computer, tablet, or smartphone to participate.
