About Me

I grew up in a family with many teachers. My father was a Biology Professor at a university, and I was quite lucky to be able to go to Primary School at the university where they had a special program for the children of professors. As a consequence, I had access to so many wonderful things in Science... like an Astronomical Observatory, university greenhouses, disections, stuffed animal collections, and many-many field trips. So I pretty much grew up at the university... and developed a real LOVE for Science.

B.S from the University of Wisconsin (USA). Double Major in Biology and Broad Fields Science, Math Minor. Secondary Teacher Certification Grades 7-12. Licensed by the Department of Public Instruction in Wisconsin (USA). In my Biology degree I focused on Botany (plants) and now I have a collection of over 2,500 cacti and flowering/fruiting plants here at my remote forest home in the mountains of Thailand!

I have been a teacher most of my life. I taught in American Public Schools, The United States Army (Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Warfare), and I also taught Guitar in Southern California at a San Diego Music Conservatory for children. I have been teaching Math, Science, Biology, and English in Thaland International Schools for the last 8 years. Now that the Covid Pandemic seems to be here (to stay?) I would prefer to teach from home, and to be able to spend more time with my 6-year old daughter. She and I go on "Nature Walks" and go fossil and rock hunting almost ever day.

I then specialized in individual academic support by following educational training at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
