Biology, maths, and chemistry for KS3, GCSE and IB
From 67.19 C$ /h
For the last two years, I have been tutoring these three subjects for KS3, GCSE, and IB students. Having studied all three subjects in GCSE and in my International Baccalaureate (scoring 38 points), as well as, my current BSc in Medical Genetics have given me a strong foundation in these subjects.
My main goal as a tutor is to make my students the priority. Before each session, I like to confirm what they would like to go through so that I can plan the lesson, so this could be going through homework questions, deep topic reviews, or practice tests. I am a firm believer of fun games or challenges. I also like to check up with my students during the week and I always encourage my students to send me any “burning questions” which I’m happy to answer via text or email - any more complicated questions we save for the lesson.
School can be difficult, but with hard work anything is possible! So I’m here to help my students get their dream grades, so they can be proud of themselves and their hard work!

About Me
Hi,
I’m Inês (or Izzie) and I’m a second year BSc Medical Genetics student at Queen Mary University of London. For the last two years I’ve been working and volunteering as a tutor for KS3, GCSE and IB students.
My philosophy is to keep my students as the leaders of the classes. I like to check up with my students before class to ask what they’d like to go through in class. I also like to check up on them a few days later to see how well they’re applying what we learned in class on their own. Classes can involve going through homework, deep dive on topics or practice tests. Practice tests in particular are amazing as it allows students to gain an idea of how their tests will be, it enables them to practice applying knowledge to answer questions, but most of all it empowers them to feel confident when they do their actual tests.
School can be hard but with a hard work, determination and perseverance anything is possible. So I’m here to prove to my students that if they believe in themselves like I do and learn how to learn like a student they can achieve their dream grades.
