About Me

I first fell in love with biology when I was a little girl strutting down the beach admiring the sand. I began to feel mesmerized by its composition. As I grew older and learned more about nature I fell deeper in love with Biology. I want to help other students understand and hopefully develop a passion for biology as I have.
I have a big passion for cellular biology, histology and marine invertebrates.

I have obtained a Bachelor degree in general Biology at the University of Bucharest, Romania and I am now studying for an MSc degree in Marine Biology at the University of Groningen

I am currently studying medicine at the RUG in Groningen and also provide extra lessons. I have passed exams in mathematics, English, physics, chemistry, Dutch, biology and economics. I have achieved satisfactory results in all subjects but usually give tutoring in mathematics, English and biology. I can also provide tutoring in the other courses. I can come to the pupil at home but the pupil can also come to me, in Vries, Zeijen or the UMCG in Groningen.

I specialize in teaching Chemistry and Biology tutoring for success at school. My goal is to challenge but not to overwhelm the student. After each lesson I give tips on how you can get better grades at school. And I'm trying to help you in chemistry so that you will pass your exam.

As I am English and am studying Maths and physics at university in the Netherlands am able to help up until this level.
I am training to become a maths and physics teacher in England starting September, so not only is this something I can do but it is something that I really enjoy doing!

Besides my studies I also participate in the Honour's college (an extra challenging programme followed besides the standard medicine programme) and I am involved in research going on in the hospital. As for my high school background, I have obtained an International Baccalaureate diploma with 44 out of 45 points.

As a second year medical student, I have an abundance of experience with learning mathematics and sciences. I took all three sciences and maths in my IBDP Diploma. Now, I am continuing to extensively develop my science and maths knowledge in my medicine course.

Maths and sciences are very interesting and important subjects, but can be quite challenging to learn independently. My tutoring is focussed on providing clear, structured, organised and engaging lessons to help with any confusion. I tailor my lessons to the students needs and encourage them to be active in their own learning through means of practice questions.
