About Me
Hi Everyone, my name is Matthew, and I have been tutoring for about seven years. I have tremendous success in working with students to achieve high scores on their mathematics exams.
I began tutoring by helping students with their math homework in middle school at an after-school program. In college, I worked as a private math tutor throughout my undergraduate time at NYU. After Graduating from NYU, I started teaching at the community college and university level for the past three years. During teaching at the college level, I received a Masters of Arts in Mathematics Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. Subjects that I have tutored range from High School Regents, SAT, GRE, GED, GMAT, SHSAT, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus, and finite mathematics.
I enjoy engaging my students with fun and challenging math problems. I like to apply math to real world situations to allow my students to fully understand the relevance and necessity of knowing and using math in their everyday lives.
