About Me

Abhishek is a multifaceted artist, teacher, and visionary whose work spans the fields of dance, theatre, and choreography. Hailing from Gaya, Bihar, he has taken his passion for performing arts across the globe, with notable engagements in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, and Poland. He is the founder and president of CreActing India, an organization that aims to blend creativity and action through dance and theatre.

Abhishek’s work is deeply rooted in his desire to bring the power of dance to rural communities. He organized the first-ever CreActing India dance show in collaboration with Germany’s performing arts group, Creacting.net, led by Wolfgang, and the Netherlands' troupe, Chance to Dance. These collaborations have brought international-level performances to the heart of Bihar, revolutionizing the cultural landscape of the area.

Over the past nine years, Abhishek has taught and given workshops at over 140 schools and various organizations across Europe. He has been featured by renowned groups like Kinderkulturkarawane and Wolfgang Schramm in Europe and worked closely with Chance to Dance in the Netherlands. Despite his global reach, his vision remains focused on giving back to his roots. He runs free dance and theatre classes for underprivileged students in Gaya, encouraging them to express themselves through art without any boundaries of age or background.

Abhishek sees dance and theatre not just as performing arts but as essential expressions of daily life. He believes that "everything we do from morning to evening is dance," and that theatre is a reflection of the activities we perform in our day-to-day existence. His mission is to inspire young people to embrace the beauty of the world through the arts, equipping them with the tools to express, amuse, and understand themselves and their emotions.

Dancing has always been part of my life. When I was little, I took classical dance and jazz lessons for several years. Later, I joined a group with which I presented several Funk / Hip Hop / RnB choreographies at shows and dance competitions.
In 2008, I discovered salsa, bachata and zumba. Since then, I have been passionate about salsa and Cuban music.
Since 2017, I have been a member of a dance school where I teach salsa to a group of people of all ages, dancer or not at heart.

Transcendental Embodiment (TE) is the result of three years of research and development. Merging from a movement philosophy research entitled Behind & Beyond, to its phenomenological understanding. The metaphysical unity of the tangible and intangible bodies expounds on the undeniable relationships between those in the physical realm. The tangible body (the material vehicle), the intangibles bodies (psychological, emotional, energetical, and spiritual). As a dance healing practice, guiding the practitioner to conscious corporeality, and subjective emotional understanding, this methodology can also be a useful tool to improve artistry and technical skills on a deeper level, widening mindful creativity, awareness, empathy, and sensitivity.

📌It doesn't always take two for things to work...
To begin to connect, assimilate and experiment with new KNOWLEDGE, the most IMPORTANT thing is the body, the attitude, perseverance and a great pinch of confidence!
I always like to approach the codes of different dance disciplines, based on structures that work on the physical, rhythmic, and creative aspects.
There is an idea that Tango is difficult to learn, and of course if we approach it with that label, it will be that way. Starting from the main concept of tango, WALKING, something that we all do most of the time, dancing tTANGO is within everyone's reach.🤗
Another very important point is the way to assimilate and understand it 😉😅
❤️‍🔥What will the classes be like, you ask?
I'll tell you a little bit, we are going to develop the structure in the work of weight changes, the step, projection of the walk, the pivot, understanding the kinesphere individually and as a couple translated into the hug, the turns and the spiral torso to understand the momentum in various exercises, the eights so famous in tango, the basic step and universal exit, walks with the concept of lanes and much more from various sequences that familiarize you with the technical needs to be able to perform the steps without leaving aside the dynamics, pulse, accent and compas of the tango. Everything will be raised in the background in a more organic way. It's not just about learning individual steps, and then...what do we do 🧐? It is not the form that should take the leading role, but the way in which you express that form.
