About Me

I trained as a dancer and teacher at the Salsabor Paris school in 2017 -2018.
The lessons I give are Cuban Salsa, Puerto Rican Salsa, Bachata, Technique of turns of these disciplines, Technique of movement...
I have been teaching in Switzerland since 2019, in different schools including K'danse, Treebox (bex), Open mouvement (etoy). I also give private lessons since 2019.

Education

Discovered salsa in 2016 with a friend, we quickly fell in love with this dance. I quickly decided to go and train at the Salsabor professional school in Paris in 2017.

Experience / Qualifications

I had the opportunity to practice giving lessons during my training in Paris. Then I was able to give my first lessons at the Treebox school in Bex in 2019, then at Kdanse and Open Mouvement from 2021 and 2022.

As a Cuban Salsa instructor, my classes focus on teaching the fundamentals of Cuban-style salsa, also known as Casino salsa. My classes are designed to cater to dancers of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced.

My classes emphasize the importance of rhythm and timing in Cuban salsa. We will cover the basic steps, footwork, turns, partner work, body movement, and styling. Understanding and interpreting the music through movement is vital to becoming a skilled salsa dancer.

I also strongly emphasize developing good technique, as this is crucial to executing more complex steps and turns safely and efficiently. Students will learn how to move smoothly and fluidly and how to lead and follow with confidence.

Finally, I strive to create a fun and supportive learning environment in my classes. I want my students to feel comfortable and confident on the dance floor and enjoy learning and improving their skills.

I offer Cuban salsa lessons for everyone, whether you are a woman, a man or a couple. With my experience as a percussionist in the salsa group Nolosé, which won 4 awards, including that of the best foreign group in Havana, I learned salsa dancing in Cuba. My teaching method is based on attentive listening to the music to create a dance in harmony with the energy released by the musicians.
