About Me

Hi, Michal here. I study econ, but otherwise, I'm not an ordinary chess teacher. I do a lot of outdoor adrenaline sports. I serf, clim and skate. I played chess competitively for 12 years, but nowadays, I enjoy teaching it much more.
I believe chess is not just for nerds, and it can be so much fun for anybody, especially because everyone can improve so quickly, and it is amazing to see the advances.

Chess is a powerful game - it can greatly influence somebody's life. Tenacity, prevail, coping with a failure, immediate consequences of your actions -- moves, or lack of preparation (at the higher level, of course).

I have been teaching chess for over two years now and successfully led over 100 students - groups, and individuals. While teaching in schools I developed my chess programme. I also have experience in working one on one. I am working with students in a variety of different ways, depending on their needs, level, or age. I believe that at the beginning of the chess journey - everything is about understanding concepts, then comes pure calculation and tactical awareness, and later on are openings, endgames, practicalities, mental, and much more!
