I specialize in tutoring piano playing. I have been studying music since I was 7 and I am currently studying in Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester (4th year). I have a lot of experience in teaching from young age children to adults. My goal is to make learning inspiring and fun, but at the same time effective. Biography:
Polish pianist Roksana Dabkowska is an undergraduate student in Royal Northern College of Music under tutelage of Dina Parakhina. She became a laureate of Zachodniopomorski Chopin Competition 2017 and International Podkarpackim Chopin Competition. Besides, Roksana has also received commendation in third International Competition Augustów. She has also become a laureate of the third prize in IX ’’ANDREA BALDI’’ INTERNATIONAL PIANISTIC COMPETITION in Bologna. She was participating in plenty of festivals and piano masterclasses such as 7th International Masterclass Course for Young Pianists Radziejowice 2019 by The Fryderyk Chopin Institute, 7th and 8th Piano Festival Torre de Canyamel in 2018 and 2019, VIII Imola Summer Piano Academy and Festival. Over the years Roksana have had lessons and masterclasses with renowned teachers such as Kevin Kenner, Steven Osborne, Philippe Cassard, Tobias Koch, Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń, Boris Petrushansky, Ewa Pobłocka, Elżbieta Stefańska.

I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. The theory of everything tends to be really scary and music theory can be too. I am very keen to make music theory easy for everyone. For some people there is only one way to tackle the unmentionable but I believe there are many different approaches and one of them will click with you. It is simply finding out what is best for each person. Once we find the key we can unlock the problems that have puzzled you for ages.

I am a Spanish pianist and composer (MMus graduate from Codarts Rotterdam in both directions) with many years of teaching experience, and also very active in performing in various contexts.
