This class helps you to access your own innate creativity through musical expression and composition with the instrument of your choosing. We will work using basic foundations of music theory and technique, applying these to your own style, interpreting songs, improvising and composing your own melodies.

My own training and practice focuses on multi-instrumental and interdisciplinary improvisation, songwriting and creative play, and I like to bring these aspects into my lessons. I believe we all have the ability to create, and it is my goal to help you to access that from the very beginning of your musical journey.

Classes can be adapted for your own individual goals, aspirations and abilities, and this course is intended for all levels from beginners to professionals.

About Me

I've been teaching classes on piano, guitar, and creative expression for most of my adult life, both one to one and in workshop settings. My classes cover a comprehensive overview of musical styles, adapting to meet your goals and influences.

My own training and practice focus on improvisation, songwriting and creative play, and I like to bring these aspects into my lessons. In this way, we work not only by learning the theoretical and technical elements of how to play music, but also how to create it ourselves. We all have innate creativity within us and it is my goal to help you to access that from the very beginning of your musical journey.

I believe that music-making should always be fun, and I aim to inspire self-motivation and the desire to develop in my lessons. The focus is therefore on creative play and enjoyment, engaging with the instrument in a way that is enjoyable and rewarding.

Folk or classical acoustic guitar.

The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation.

For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...).

For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (...).

Depending on your goals, you can learn, if you wish, to play 60 to 80% of current music from the first lessons, which often use the same chords and the same techniques. The objectives take into consideration the following points:

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age.

I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

Experience:
I am a professional musician and have been teaching students of all ages for over 20 years. My experience as a teacher and my pursuit of self-improvement as a musician have led me to develop an effective method that I have already tested with over a hundred students.
Throughout my career I had the satisfaction of studying with great masters of different specialties or styles, each one emphasizing different aspects of flamenco, classical or modern guitar and each one has given me their approach (technique, rhythms, accompaniment, harmony, etc.), which has led me after years of study and compilation to take the best from each one to develop my method.

My role in my classes is more that of a personal trainer than a teacher, where I will be very attentive to bringing out the best in my students, finding the right technique to help them develop a good rhythm, working on their rhythm, etc.
For me, the role of a teacher, in addition to teaching, is to be part of a team, to maintain morale and constantly improve oneself while always maintaining a love for music.

Methodology:
I tailor the lessons to the student's level, style, or goals. Generally, the first half of the lesson is dedicated to technique, focusing on proper placement, execution, and relaxation, which will result in a good sound.
