It doesn't matter if you are a beginner or an advanced piano player I can encourage you in any case. I am actually German but there is no problem to give my classes in English language. With my husband I also play piano recitals mostly in Germany. You can listen to our music on Spotify and other streaming platforms.

About Me

I have many experiences as a piano teacher and I love teaching piano! I also play recitals with my husband as a piano duo.
We participated at many international competitions for piano duo. In France we recived an award at the " Concours Musical de France" in Paris. Nowadays we have concerts manly in Germany. Our CD has been published since a few months on Spotify , Soundcloud and other Streaming platforms, so you can listen to it!
In my leisure time I also play violin and I do dawings and paintings! Music and Art especially drawing / painting pictures are the most important things in my life!
And I love traveling! My husband is from Japan so I often have the chance to visit Tokyo. But I am also interested in cities / regions of Europe and other countries.

Education

I studied piano at the Music Academy in Trossingen and got my diploma. Since that time I give piano classes at first as a private tutor and later at music schools. I have experiences with students any ages and levels and my lesson regulation is adapted to the level of the students. Some of my students participated successfully at national competitions like "Jugend musiziert" in Germany! But that's not the goal to play at competitions. Music has to be passion and an other way to speak than with a language. Actually music is a language!

Experience / Qualifications

I can help you in any case of piano playing. You can come as a beginner or as an advanced piano player! You can also play any music styles like Classical music, Pop music or Jazz (but unfortunately i can't help you in Jazz improvisations)! At first when you are a beginner we will find the right book for you to get the basic in piano playing. And you can get it in English of course. My lessons are in 30 minutes or 45 minutes. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. I am a Spanish pianist and composer (MMus graduate from Codarts Rotterdam in both directions) with many years of teaching experience, and also very active in performing in various contexts.

Would you classify improvisation as composition or performance? Well actually it is both! When you improvise you are composing music on the spot, performing what you have made up at the same time as you have composed it.

For many people improvisation is a scary word and having to improvise in a group or band is an alarming prospect. However, this really does not need to be the case. As long as you have a basic knowledge of how to play your instrument you will be able to improvise. Once you know the principle of how chords are formed you will soon be improvising with ease.

The key to success is understanding chords. Once you know how chords are formed and know what notes make up a few chords you will be well on your way towards being able to improvise. We will, therefore, start by ensuring a firm knowledge of certain chords. After this we will progress to improvising a simple melody over the top of these chords. The next stage is to start using notes that are not in the chord. The process is then open ended with emphasis on developing the melody.

If you play a keyboard instrument you will be able to improvise your own pieces and be able to entertain your friends at a moments notice. On the other hand if you play in a band or a group you will be well equipped to do a real 'jam' session.

Whether you play a single line instrument (flute, saxophone, trumpet, violin etc.) or keyboard instruments, this class is for you.

I offer piano lessons for adults and children, tailored to your goals and preferences. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes. Lessons are conducted in English, German and Russian. I teach piano at home in Vienna’s 3rd district and online on a beautiful Yamaha piano.

I am a professional musician and have been teaching students of all ages for over 20 years. My experience as a teacher and my pursuit of self-improvement as a musician have led me to develop an effective method that I have already tested with over a hundred students.
