Piano Lessons for All Levels | Technique, repertoire, and theory tailored to Your needs
From 74.74 C$ /h
I chose to teach piano driven by my profound love for music and the desire to help others find their expressive voice. My teaching philosophy extends beyond technique and repertoire to include the development of a deeper understanding of music through analysis, theory, and listening.
I take into account the musical interests of my students, as everyone learns at their own pace and in diverse ways; my goal is to provide unwavering support tailored to your individual learning styles.
I foster a friendly and open atmosphere in my lessons, opting for informal communication that promotes a sense of security, particularly beneficial for children. This approach encourages a self-directed development of their musical abilities.
While I find joy in collaboratively setting goals from the first lesson, I equally value a relaxed approach that prioritizes the sheer enjoyment of making music.

About Me
My musical journey began at the New Conservatory of Thessaloniki, where I focused on piano under the guidance of Anelia and Vangelis Portokalis. Alongside my studies, I delved into conducting with Karolos Trikolidis and explored violin under Igor Selalmazidis, ultimately graduating with honors.
Continuing my musical education at the University of Macedonia, I immersed myself in piano performance and pedagogy. Collaborating with accomplished pianists like Uwe Matschke and Igor Petrin, I earned both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree, each with special honors.
Currently, I find myself as a doctoral candidate in solo piano performance and pedagogy at the University of Maryland, studying under Professor Bradford Gowen.
As a musician, I actively participate in chamber music and recitals, sharing my passion in Greece, Austria, and the USA. I've dedicated time to performing and recording works by contemporary and 20th-century Greek composers, both as a soloist and a member of ensembles.
In addition to my musical journey, I've had the privilege of teaching piano. Whether it was providing private lessons in Vienna and Thessaloniki or teaching functional keyboard skills (class piano) at the University of Macedonia in 2022, these experiences have been humbling and rewarding.
I've also contributed as an ear training tutor and ensemble coach in the summer camps of the New Conservatory of Thessaloniki.
Throughout my musical endeavors, I've been fortunate to attend masterclasses and receive private lessons from respected pianists like George Hadjinikos, Maria Asteriadou, Georg Steinschaden, Domna Evnouchidou, and Michael Hauber. These interactions have significantly influenced my musical growth.
I'm excited to share my love for music and the knowledge I've gained on this journey. I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to your musical exploration.
