About Me
Hello! I’m a piano teacher based in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, SS9. I teach from my fully equipped home studio with both an acoustic and a digital piano, and I'm also set up to teach online via Zoom or Skype.
I teach children and adults of all ages who are beginning to learn the piano, or returning to it after a break. I aim to enable all my students to play the music they love, whether they are preparing for exams or just for fun. I also teach and can prepare students for written music theory exams.
I started playing the piano at the age of 6 and began singing in a choir at the age of 10, and have experience of competing in many local piano festivals. Although mainly classically trained I have also studied pop and jazz styles. I have gained ABRSM Grade 8 piano and A-Level music.
I take a great interest in keeping up to date with the latest developments in piano teaching, and regularly undertake professional development training. I am a member of the Curious Piano Teachers and the Musicians' Union.
I hold a current enhanced DBS certificate and am fully insured.
I absolutely love teaching and creating a supportive and fun learning experience. I would be very happy to hear from you to discuss your or your children's goals.
