About Me

I'm a freelance musician from Hastings. I've been playing the guitar for fifteen years, working on cruise ships and hotels around the world. Also working with signed artists in England, playing with the likes of Marie White (Sony Records), Sam Calver (Island Records) As well as extensive function work. I've been teaching in this time too, with students ranging form 10 to 35yrs. The lessons are catered to the student. From learning different genres, to harmony, to practical information about working within a band, etc...

Education

I studied privately for my first few years in music. I then went on to attend a Music Technology course at Leeds University and then Contemporary Guitar at the Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM). Receiving a Higher Diploma in both courses.

Age and musical taste are not restrictive when in the program, you can with qualitative daily work (not quantitative) quickly observe your progress.

Folk or classical acoustic guitar.

The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation.

For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...).

For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (...).
