Guitar, Improvisation, Harmony and Musical Understanding
From 69 C$ /h
I am a guitarist, professional musician, and experienced teacher with a musical background spanning more than three decades.
I started playing guitar at the age of 12 and began teaching guitar when I was 14. At 15, I took up the cello, and at 16, I studied classical singing and performed as an opera singer and choir member. This gave me an early understanding of music from different perspectives, including harmony, melody, rhythm, voice, and ensemble playing.
I later studied guitar performance at a music school in London, where I received a Guitar Performance Certificate in 2001. I also trained in sound engineering and received my certificate from SAE Berlin in 2011. My interest in improvisation and jazz led me to further studies in Barcelona, where I received a Jazz Guitar Certificate in 2005.
Over the years, I have worked as a professional musician in London, Barcelona, Thailand, and Vietnam, gaining experience with different musical styles, musicians, and approaches to playing.
Alongside music, I am an experienced language teacher. Combining these two fields has strongly influenced the way I teach guitar. I know how to break complex material into manageable steps, adapt explanations to different learners, and build skills progressively rather than simply giving students exercises to repeat.
My lessons are tailored to each student’s level, musical interests, and goals. Depending on what you want to achieve, we can work on chords, rhythm, technique, songs, improvisation, harmony, ear training, jazz, accompaniment, or developing your own way of playing.
My aim is to give each student a clear and motivating learning path, with lessons that connect technique and theory directly to making music.
