Firstly I am a pianist of which I am able to teach on intermediate level, however I am also a multi instrumentalist and the other instruments I can teach are bass, drums, guitar and vocals/singing to beginners only. I specialise in teaching music as a whole. This means that I don't only teach music theory or how to transcribe music, I also teach songwriting/composition.

My approach is not based on being able to sight read well. It is based on being able to play an instrument as well as eventually to be able to use music theory and to have the ability to transcribe (play music by listening to it). I love songwriting so this area of study is also a part of what my students learn when they come to me for lessons.

Extra information

Have an instrument, even if it just your voice. A keyboard is highly recommend as it is important to use one when learning music, especially for voice training.

About Me

I am an enthusiastic teacher because making even the smallest difference in someone's life brings me the most joy.

When I was younger I never took my education seriously and the funny thing is that as I have been growing older my love for education has become unstoppable. I am happy that I have have had the the opportunity to take my time to decide what work it is that I want to do. Now I know for sure that I will continue being a musician, masseuse and a teacher.

I have met a lot of different people and I feel as though this experience has allowed me to to not only grow in knowledge, but also in compassion. When we have an expanded awareness our potential to develop increases tremendously. It doesn't help being the most skilled but also the most close minded. It does help being very skilled and open minded. I am still learning and growing and I hope to continue in doing so while also helping my students to grow and learn as well.

The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation.

For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...).

For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (...).
