Learning Turkish in fun meetings with a certified teacher

Hello, my name is Selin and I am here to give Turkish lessons as a local speaker with the methods that I determine for one's needs for learning. It will be nice to spend time together!

I focus on language acquisition techniques for foreigners and refer to lectures as meeting rather than 'lecture'. I adopt an existential educational model because each individual's tendencies and interests to learn the language differ. I adopt Chomsky's language acquisition philosophy based on the idea that all languages can be acquired without an intermediary language. (Of course, English support is provided at the beginning.)

1.) Which Materials Do I Use in My Turkish Language Education?

My course materials consist of textbooks in PDF format and audio materials. In addition, I am creating a lecture area on Microsoft's free application Onenote. I also prepare games such as 'taboo' as material according to the needs. In my sessions, I do many activities to help people gain speaking, reading, and listening skills at the same time.

2.) How Do The Lessons Go?

I teach in person or online through the application called "Zoom". I prefer individual meetings, but sometimes I can include local speakers. I am of the opinion that learning by having fun, talking, and experiencing is the most permanent one. For this reason, it is very important for me to have fun and talk about current examples in our daily life.

3.) Where Did I Get My Language Teaching Education?

From a prestigious university in Turkey (Istanbul University) I received the "Certificate of Teaching Turkish for Foreigners" in 2020.

More About Me

I care about getting to know new people and thus building new relationships. I like to learn, I like to teach. So, I travel to gain learning and teaching experience.

I have traveled to many cities in Europe and would like to travel more in the future.

I have been involved in theater and I like to speak my language in a good diction. I like to read and vocalize books.

My personal interests are contemporary art and philosophy. I love artistic production (painting and collage).

Hi Everyone,

This is Ricco from Istanbul, Turkey.

I am a professional guitar instructor who also is playing in various stages with different bands currently.

I have a solid 10 years of guitar experience in all genres, from pop to rock & blues and so on. Besides playing electric guitar professionally with different bands, I am also giving professional hands-on guitar lessons for the guitar enthusiasts.

There is one major rule for my guitar lessons which is ALL LESSONS ARE IN ENGLISH !!!

This is why most of my students are either childrens of expats working in Istanbul or students studying in colleges and private schools whose official language is English.

If you are interested in learning how to play guitar (either classic, acoustic or electric), please feel free to get in touch with me.

After the first lesson If we both agree that we can move further, we shake hands and plan your progress together.

Lessons can be done either in your own flat or mine, but the price per lesson may vary accordingly. Students may also use my own guitars which can be seen in the photos, my amp and pedals.

Hi everyone! I’m presently a student of Genetics and Bioengineering in Istanbul Bilgi University. As majority universities are leaning towards English as the primary source of instruction in Istanbul, I feel it is important to have full command over the language. I have studied English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Psychology under the Cambridge Assessment International Education and have secured A’s and B’s in both my Ordinary and Advanced Level Exams. I've always had a love for experiencing new things and seeing new places. Since a young age I have been travelling to Turkey with my family which is where I think my love for exploring the world began. Since then I've taken part in a course at Manchester University to study the Turkish language. I've also travelled to many countries in Europe as well as Asia/America and Oceania.
I also have a strong passion for music and sport. I've been working as a Personal Trainer and musician for 5 years.

I studied music and law at college, since then I've completed the 130 hour TEFL course and Beginner's Turkish at Manchester University.

I have been working as an ESL English teacher for almost six years now. My classes with my students are based on learning through play and movement. This course emphasizes the fundamental language skills of reading, writing, speaking, listening, thinking, viewing and presenting. An emphasis on vocabulary and composition skills will be an on-going part of the program. The course includes studies of various literary genres: short story, novel, drama, and non-fiction. Hello ! My name is Sude and I have graduated from the Faculty of Law in English and I am managing my own firm. I took the IELTS exam and got 8 points out of 9. Learning and teaching languages is one of my biggest hobbies and I do it with passion in my spare time. We will start our lessons by learning the most basic skills such as correct pronunciation and simple grammar rules.
We will continue to improve our speaking, listening and grammar levels by learning new informations step by step.
Based on my 13 years of experience, I think that A1 level is a very important period in language learning. When learning any language, beginner level students should learn it in the correct order and important details should be explained well by practising previous ones. Students at more advanced levels, such as A2, B1 or above, also need to practice their skills at the previous level thoroughly to improve their language skills. I try to provide good teaching by paying attention to these important points in my lessons. I keep our lessons' notes in a word file. After our lessons, I send you back all the additional notes and exercises that we covered in our lesson as a Word file.
