Tagalog for Beginners: Conversational Filipino for Everyday Life, Culture & Heritage
From 28 C$ /h
Tagalog (Filipino) is the national language of the Philippines, spoken by over 20 million people as a first language and understood across the country and by Filipino communities worldwide. Whether you're a heritage speaker wanting to reconnect with family and roots, a traveler preparing for a trip, or simply curious about everyday Filipino life, this class will help you build real, practical speaking skills. 🗣️🎯
Lessons focus on conversational Tagalog you can use right away— greetings, everyday expressions, family and relationship terms, ordering food, asking directions—paired with cultural context that brings the language to life. You'll come away not just knowing words, but understanding the WARMTH and VALUES behind them. 💡 🎯 🌱
I hold a Language Teaching Certificate and have experience teaching both professional adults and teens (12–17). As a homeschooling mom also, I bring patience and structure to my lessons—every class is organized and easy to follow, but always taught in a fun, engaging way that keeps you motivated to keep learning. ❤️

About Me
Hi! Kumusta? 👋 I’m Kath, a friendly, native Tagalog speaker and tutor from the beautiful province of Pangasinan, Philippines! 🇵🇭
I genuinely enjoy teaching Tagalog because I love seeing students become more confident in expressing themselves. I’ve been teaching Tagalog online for 6 months, working with international learners with different levels, backgrounds, and learning goals. 🗣️💬
As a teacher, I’m patient, encouraging, and easy to talk to. I want my students to feel comfortable speaking, asking questions, and making mistakes without feeling embarrassed. For me, learning a language should feel like a conversation—not a test.
I also love sharing little pieces of Filipino culture and everyday expressions along the way, because understanding the culture can make learning Tagalog more meaningful and natural. ✨
Whether you’re learning Tagalog for travel, family, work, or simply because you want to learn a new language, I’d be happy to be part of your learning journey! 🌱✨
Tara, mag-aral tayo ng Tagalog! 🇵🇭💬
