About Me

Llevo más de 20 años enseñando, y sigo haciéndolo por la misma razón que empecé: me encanta ver el momento en que un estudiante deja de traducir mentalmente y empieza a pensar en el idioma nuevo. Ese cambio es lo que más disfruto de mi trabajo.
Soy profesor certificado en TEFL (Universidad de Toronto) para inglés, y en ELE/SFL — Español como Lengua Extranjera (Universidad Europea Miguel de Cervantes) para español. Además, trabajo como traductor e intérprete español-inglés desde hace más de 25 años, así que conozco de primera mano los errores típicos, los "falsos amigos" y esos matices que los libros de texto casi nunca explican bien.
Mi estilo de enseñanza es cercano y paciente. Vengo de años trabajando con estudiantes de todas las edades y niveles, así que sé adaptar el ritmo: si estás empezando de cero, construimos las bases sin presión; si ya tienes fluidez, trabajamos precisión, pronunciación y esos detalles que marcan la diferencia entre "hablar bien" y "hablar como nativo".
También tengo formación en aprendizaje socioemocional (SEL), algo que aplico en cada clase: para mí, aprender un idioma funciona mejor cuando te sientes cómodo para equivocarte y seguir intentando.
