Having learned Spanish myself, explored it academically at university and spent time living in Spain, I understand the challenges learners face. I hold a degree in Hispanic Studies from a leading UK university and spent a semester at a Spanish university, so I know both the grammar and how the language is actually spoken.

Beginners build usable Spanish from the first lessons: pronunciation, the verbs you need most and short conversations about everyday life. At intermediate and advanced levels we talk for most of the lesson, widen your vocabulary and sort out the grammar that tends to stick, such as ser and estar, the past tenses and the subjunctive. We'll focus on speaking, listening and building a solid understanding of the language.

I explain in English or in Russian, whichever helps you more, and we use Spanish itself as much as possible.

About Me

Hi! I'm a native Russian speaker, and I teach Russian, Spanish and English. I currently teach Russian online for a language school in London. Spanish and English are languages I learned myself, Spanish at university with a semester in Spain, so I know first-hand what it's like to learn a foreign language, make mistakes and slowly gain confidence.

My teaching approach is practical, friendly and student-centred. We spend most of the lesson in real conversation and everyday situations, and I explain grammar briefly, with examples and in context, rather than through long explanations.
