In a culturally rich country like Luxembourg where a large number of cross-border commuters come to work, it is very important to be able to talk and communicate with each other.

If you are looking for language lessons/language tutoring, then you have come to the right place. I speak a total of 5 languages (Portuguese, Luxembourgish, German, French and English).

Translating is not a problem for me, which makes learning a language even easier.

I am currently learning the basics of Luxembourgish, with a primarily spoken approach. My goal is to progress practically and concretely, emphasizing listening and speaking skills rather than pure theory. I am offering to tutor someone who, like me, wants to acquire the essential foundations of Luxembourgish in a supportive and accessible environment.

Learning will primarily take place orally, in order to foster rapid confidence and natural everyday use of the language. The first steps will involve learning to introduce oneself briefly: stating one's name, explaining where one is from, and giving some basic information about oneself. This foundation allows for simple and authentic exchanges right from the start.

We will also work on essential polite phrases, such as saying hello and goodbye, and using basic everyday expressions. These elements are crucial for integrating into daily and professional life in Luxembourg. Finally, particular attention will be paid to the ability to place an order, for example, in a café, restaurant, or shop. This practical learning allows you to feel more comfortable in concrete and frequent situations.

The goal is not perfection, but progress, practice, and confidence in speaking. Everyone advances at their own pace, in a spirit of sharing and mutual support. Regarding availability, this will be discussed directly with me so that we can best accommodate everyone's constraints and needs. This flexibility allows us to create a pleasant and effective learning environment.

Become bilingual in Luxembourgish with me!

Passionate about languages and a polyglot, I offer a unique approach to mastering Luxembourgish. Since 2011, I have traveled throughout Luxembourg as a journalist. These years have given me in-depth knowledge of the country, its history, its cultural particularities, but also of its language in all its nuances. My knowledge is not only theoretical; it is the result of concrete immersion and life experience. My classes go far beyond simple grammar. We will work on the language through themes that interest you: current events, culture, history, or daily life. You will learn to speak Luxembourgish as it is actually used, discovering the subtleties that cannot be learned from textbooks. With me, you don't just learn a language; you appropriate a culture. You will understand Luxembourg from the inside out, much better than if you had any other teacher. Together, we will make you an expert on the country and its language.

Ready to take the first step?

I have been giving Luxembourgish lessons to beginners (A1, A2, B1) for a couple of years here and there. I focus on speaking, listening and reading comprehension, as I believe this is the most important parts of learning Luxembourgish. Beginners should not be held back by the grammar and writing, that can be picked up lateron.

I am currently only offering online sessions, where I usually prepare a PowerPoint with exercises that focus on different themes. I only offer lessons to English speakers at the moment. I am very open to structuring lessons based on what you would prefer and I try to make it interactive, fun, and varied! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.
