This class is designed for people to work through translation with a variety of Latin passages of all difficulties. I will provide and prepare the texts, and we will work through them together in order to ensure maximum understanding. Authors include Virgil, Ovid, Catullus, Cicero, Nepos, and others.
This class will discuss the entirety breadth of Roman history, from the Roman Kingdom to the fall of the Roman Republic in 476 AD, with room for discussing the Eastern Roman Empire which exists much longer, until its fall in 1453 to the Ottomans.
