This course is designed for beginners, with no Italian or those with very little knowledge of Italian. Each class will be 75 mins long and it is on every second week. Running the class on Zoom will allow me to share a whiteboard with you and any other relevant file we will work on just like in a classroom. You won't need to buy a book as I will provide you with the digital materials you will need for the class. Also, I will be able to record the class and you will have access to it for two weeks so that you will have the option to listen to the class again. Selfwork in between the sessions will be required.

In these first 7 weeks I am planning to give you the basis of Italian grammar and to build up an essential vocabulary which will allow you to have a simple conversation and have a rough understanding of the spoken language.

- I'm a professional Italian teacher from Italy, now living between Pisa and Rome. I have 10 years of teaching experience. I teach for all levels, from very beginners to advanced speakers, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I can also help with university exams and school works/assignments.
Being a pianist and a piano teacher, I already have lots of experience with teaching and pedagogical approach with the whole range of ages.

The lesson is intended to meet the student needs: the focus can be on the grammar, conversation or literature. In case of a middle-level speaker, the lesson will cover all four language's abilities: listening, speaking, writing and reading. My suggestion of a well planned lesson is, for any level, to divide it into two parts: grammar first and then conversation (covering all the abilities mentioned above).

If you wish to brush up your Italian, resume a past series of lessons, or simply start from scratch learning Italian, this is the right lesson for you! I like to personalize each class/course according to the needs and goals of my students. My classes are focused on improving the student's communication skills. At beginner and lower intermediate levels, I prefer using a text book/ student book in the first part of the class. I usually use "Nuovissimo Progetto Italiano" and "Arrivederci" by Edilingua, or "Nuovo Espresso" and "Dieci" by Alma Publishing. For the second part of the lesson, I create engaging contents using original videos, press articles, extracts from blogs and social media, literary texts. If the students do not feel comfortable using Italian from scratch, I can switch to English, German, or Dutch. The course fee includes the correction of home assignments.
