I am writing to express my interest as Italian teacher.

Over the years I have felt at home in various places. In each one I have searched for my way and in the end in each one I have found little clues that have allowed me to understand that I want to teach my language to those who do not yet know it.

I have always loved the word, its strength and the infinite possibilities it offers; before I thought of writing it only but there was still something missing. What good is the word if it is not shared, if it does not become an opportunity for exchange between cultures, or better, between individuals?

So, between one suitcase and another, I graduated in Italian Literature and specialized in journalism, then I obtained the Ditals II from the University for Foreigners of Siena and the two-year School of Specialization as Teacher of Italian to Foreigners at the same University.

I have been teaching Italian language for more than ten years: in Italy in public schools, in schools for adult migrants (Cpia of Modena and Rome) and in private schools; abroad at the Dante Alighieri in Valletta and at the University of Cork.

I have a passion for music, cinema, documentaries and photography, different worlds that allow me to know and tell stories.

Step by step I have become more and more aware of how much I love this job that has given me the opportunity to meet wonderfully unique people, now very often friends.

- I'm a professional Italian teacher from Italy, now living between Pisa and Rome. I have 10 years of teaching experience. I teach for all levels, from very beginners to advanced speakers, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I can also help with university exams and school works/assignments.
Being a pianist and a piano teacher, I already have lots of experience with teaching and pedagogical approach with the whole range of ages.

The lesson is intended to meet the student needs: the focus can be on the grammar, conversation or literature. In case of a middle-level speaker, the lesson will cover all four language's abilities: listening, speaking, writing and reading. My suggestion of a well planned lesson is, for any level, to divide it into two parts: grammar first and then conversation (covering all the abilities mentioned above).

If you wish to brush up your Italian, resume a past series of lessons, or simply start from scratch learning Italian, this is the right lesson for you! I like to personalize each class/course according to the needs and goals of my students. My classes are focused on improving the student's communication skills. At beginner and lower intermediate levels, I prefer using a text book/ student book in the first part of the class. I usually use "Nuovissimo Progetto Italiano" and "Arrivederci" by Edilingua, or "Nuovo Espresso" and "Dieci" by Alma Publishing. For the second part of the lesson, I create engaging contents using original videos, press articles, extracts from blogs and social media, literary texts. If the students do not feel comfortable using Italian from scratch, I can switch to English, German, or Dutch. The course fee includes the correction of home assignments.
