About Me

I'm a wine business pro with a humanistic background. My life experiences gave me the opportunity to share my passion for Italian language and culture with many people from all over the world (f.e. UK, USA, South Corea, France, Spain).

As you know, wine is a serious business here! When you teach about wine, you talk about history, land, culture, traditions, lifestyle... From this point I developed my idea of an Italian Immersive Experience for students willing to learn Italian. Learning a language it's easier and more effective when you are inside the culture of the place; that's why I never forget to provide songs, articles, recipes, whatever I think it's useful to stimulate student's curiosity.

I love enthusiastic people. I ask my students to bring their passion with them; that is fundamental to build the perfect Italian course!

In July 2011 I graduated in Humanistic Studies - Modern Languages and Cultures.

In July 2006 I graduated High School - Liceo Classico, focus on humanities (Italian Literature, Ancient Greek, Latin).

- I'm a professional Italian teacher from Italy, now living between Pisa and Rome. I have 10 years of teaching experience. I'm Giorgia and I come from Torino, Italy.
I offer my native knowledge of Italian to any of you, who wants to discover this beautiful language.

I teach for all levels, from very beginners to advanced speakers, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I can also help with university exams and school works/assignments.
Being a pianist and a piano teacher, I already have lots of experience with teaching and pedagogical approach with the whole range of ages.

The lesson is intended to meet the student needs: the focus can be on the grammar, conversation or literature. In case of a middle-level speaker, the lesson will cover all four language's abilities: listening, speaking, writing and reading. My suggestion of a well planned lesson is, for any level, to divide it into two parts: grammar first and then conversation (covering all the abilities mentioned above).

If you wish to brush up your Italian, resume a past series of lessons, or simply start from scratch learning Italian, this is the right lesson for you! I like to personalize each class/course according to the needs and goals of my students. My classes are focused on improving the student's communication skills. At beginner and lower intermediate levels, I prefer using a text book/ student book in the first part of the class. I usually use "Nuovissimo Progetto Italiano" and "Arrivederci" by Edilingua, or "Nuovo Espresso" and "Dieci" by Alma Publishing. For the second part of the lesson, I create engaging contents using original videos, press articles, extracts from blogs and social media, literary texts. If the students do not feel comfortable using Italian from scratch, I can switch to English, German, or Dutch. The course fee includes the correction of home assignments.
