I am 25 years old, Italian, born and raised in Italy, and I have been living in Lisbon (Portugal) for the past three years. Living abroad has given me first-hand experience of learning and using a foreign language in everyday life, so I understand how challenging it can be to move from studying a language to actually feeling comfortable speaking it.
This experience allows me to approach Italian lessons from a practical perspective, focusing not only on grammar and vocabulary, but also on natural expressions, everyday conversations, and the kind of Italian you would actually hear in real life.

Hi! I’m Arianna, a native Italian speaker born and raised in Italy. I have been living in Lisbon, Portugal, for the past three years, which has given me the opportunity to experience what it is like to live abroad, communicate in another language every day, and adapt to a different culture.

I teach for all levels, from very beginners to advanced speakers, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I can also help with university exams and school works/assignments.
Being a pianist and a piano teacher, I already have lots of experience with teaching and pedagogical approach with the whole range of ages.

The lesson is intended to meet the student needs: the focus can be on the grammar, conversation or literature. In case of a middle-level speaker, the lesson will cover all four language's abilities: listening, speaking, writing and reading. My suggestion of a well planned lesson is, for any level, to divide it into two parts: grammar first and then conversation (covering all the abilities mentioned above).

If you wish to brush up your Italian, resume a past series of lessons, or simply start from scratch learning Italian, this is the right lesson for you! I like to personalize each class/course according to the needs and goals of my students. My classes are focused on improving the student's communication skills. At beginner and lower intermediate levels, I prefer using a text book/ student book in the first part of the class. I usually use "Nuovissimo Progetto Italiano" and "Arrivederci" by Edilingua, or "Nuovo Espresso" and "Dieci" by Alma Publishing. For the second part of the lesson, I create engaging contents using original videos, press articles, extracts from blogs and social media, literary texts. If the students do not feel comfortable using Italian from scratch, I can switch to English, German, or Dutch. The course fee includes the correction of home assignments.
