Italian for all levels (A1-C2) with a funny and expert teacher!

HI,
I'm Alessandro, I'm from Naples and I'm 30 years old. I love American literature specifically but I get easily curious when it comes to novelist and novelists of the 1900s. This is combined with the pleasure of searching the stalls for unknown and interesting titles. I'm part of a literary magazine and I write poems and short stories. Also, I like cooking, I practice Karate and I like camping in the mountains.
And, of course, I love teaching!
I taught English as a private tutor to Italian and foreign students. I have helped learners of different ages and with different goals (university exams, reinforcement of basic skills, questions) to become independent and creative in using the language.
I prepared two lessons in Portuguese on Neapolitan culture and language as part of a cycle of masterclasses on Elena Ferrante's tetralogy.
I interfaced with European and Brazilian clients to give some interpretations on some aspects that I considered crucial to my culture. In the second lesson, however, I provided some rudiments of phonetics and grammar, as well as a list of sayings and idiomatic phrases used, in large part, by the Neapolitans daily.
I believe that a lesson should focus on the learner's personal goals while organizing a spiral path that looks at grammar, vocabulary, and the use of the language in specific contexts and for daily tasks. We will help ourselves with multimedia elements such as articles, short videos, audio files, interviews, grammar, and conversation exercises.
I would be happy to know what are your goals, your learning strategies, and preferences regarding the course (e.g. duration) and to have a chat ;).
I'll send you a form to ask you something about your interests (e.g. what books you read/films you watch) and then we can organize a first introductory lesson.
Write me to start learning a musical, colorful, and passionate language

About Me
I'm an easygoing teacher who loves to help you go down the rabbit hole dug by your curiosity. Nothing stimulates me more than a student who keeps asking questions, especially the ones pertaining to culture since Italian culture is way more dynamic and fragmented than one might expect!
The core of my classes is good, spontaneous conversation: this is the quickest way for me to assess your progress (or your starting point) and to give you feedback that actually helps you to develop your own mastery of Italian. Besides, we are going to talk about topics that interest you and I might even help you learn something more about what you love! Or maybe, you will teach me plenty of things about your favorite piece of news.
In time, our classes will feel closer to a night out with a friend, sipping coffee than a boring 60 minutes ordeal. My ideal student is someone in the range of 18 to 40 years old, but I'm happy to teach younger or older students! Children are the pinnacle of curiosity, and grandparents love me! (Btw, did you know that in Italian we say nonna for grandma and nonno for grandpa?)
See you soon!

Education
Master's Degree in Comparative Literatures and Languages of University "L'Orientale" of Naples. I studied English Linguistics, ranging from the basics and getting to an advanced level culminating in a dissertation about Stylistics, a branch of Linguistics that studies Literature but looks for "chunks" of style (A bit rushed but you get the point!) and analyzing how these chunks are repeated and what they might mean.
If it sounds a bit like maths, it's because it is like a distant cousin.
I also studied how to teach a foreign language (that's why I'm here!), Italian Linguistics and Literature, American Literature and History and Applied Translation.
One of the best experiences of my life was traveling to Portugal for my 5-month Erasmus. I got to meet some of the most amazing people in my life and to see a different part of Europe while learning a bit of Portuguese as well.
