In my work experience I taught Italian to immigrants, refugees, students, professionals as well as poeple who are fond of Italian language and culture. I worked also as tennis coach, that made me the inspiration and the opportunity to look for and develop creative and customized solutions to get people involved in learning while enjoying their challenging activities. After all, learning is a creative process as well as teaching: in order to be effective it must be an all round cognitive experience!

About Me

I teach Italian language to adult students of any level: beginners, advanced and academic.
I'm focused on teaching practical grammar in order to make the students getting familiar with the mechanisms of the language as well as its use in daily life and different contexts. Starting from the specific goals, learning features and time availability of the student, I develop a customized plan based on interactive lessons in which they are challenged with the production as well as the comprehension of texts and speeches.
No books are required: I'm used to prepare the material for the lesson on my own or using different resources selected according to their effectiveness and completeness.

A few moments of jokes and chats are welcome during the lesson!

In base agli specifici obiettivi, stili di apprendimento e disponibilità di tempo dello studente, sviluppo un programma personalizzato basato su lezioni molto interattive che lo stimolino il più possibile a parlare, oltre che a comprendere testi e contesti discorsivi.

- I'm a professional Italian teacher from Italy, now living between Pisa and Rome. I have 10 years of teaching experience. I teach for all levels, from very beginners to advanced speakers, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I can also help with university exams and school works/assignments.
Being a pianist and a piano teacher, I already have lots of experience with teaching and pedagogical approach with the whole range of ages.

The lesson is intended to meet the student needs: the focus can be on the grammar, conversation or literature. In case of a middle-level speaker, the lesson will cover all four language's abilities: listening, speaking, writing and reading. My suggestion of a well planned lesson is, for any level, to divide it into two parts: grammar first and then conversation (covering all the abilities mentioned above).

If you wish to brush up your Italian, resume a past series of lessons, or simply start from scratch learning Italian, this is the right lesson for you! I like to personalize each class/course according to the needs and goals of my students. My classes are focused on improving the student's communication skills. At beginner and lower intermediate levels, I prefer using a text book/ student book in the first part of the class. I usually use "Nuovissimo Progetto Italiano" and "Arrivederci" by Edilingua, or "Nuovo Espresso" and "Dieci" by Alma Publishing. For the second part of the lesson, I create engaging contents using original videos, press articles, extracts from blogs and social media, literary texts. If the students do not feel comfortable using Italian from scratch, I can switch to English, German, or Dutch. The course fee includes the correction of home assignments.
