About Me

I’m from Rome, Italy and I’ve been teaching Italian and foreign languages for about ten years, working with adults, teens, and kids.

I speak English, Spanish, and French fluently, and I know a bit of Arabic and Russian too. Over the years, I’ve taught Italian to foreigners at universities and language schools, and I love helping students reach their personal goals while making learning enjoyable.

When I’m not teaching, you’ll usually find me reading, writing, or out walking my dogs. I’m also a big travel lover and I enjoy discovering new cultures and traditions. I can’t wait to learn more about yours!

Women-only conversation group - FIRST MEETING

I’m happy to announce that the “Women Who Speak Italian” conversation group is about to start. Here are the details.
The first conversation session will be about DREAM JOBS. Do they exist? Or is it a lie we tell ourselves? Starting with some Italian literary texts (Natalia Ginzburg and others), we’ll discuss ambitions, sacrifices, and the gap between dreams and reality.
When? Friday at 7:00 PM CEST (limited spots)
Where? Teams
How long? 1 hour / 1.5 hours (we’re flexible—it depends on the number of participants)
The minimum required level is B1 (if you’d like to check your level, you can contact me privately). Beginners are, of course, welcome to join.

Being a pianist and a piano teacher, I already have lots of experience with teaching and pedagogical approach with the whole range of ages.

The lesson is intended to meet the student needs: the focus can be on the grammar, conversation or literature. In case of a middle-level speaker, the lesson will cover all four language's abilities: listening, speaking, writing and reading. My suggestion of a well planned lesson is, for any level, to divide it into two parts: grammar first and then conversation (covering all the abilities mentioned above).

If you wish to brush up your Italian, resume a past series of lessons, or simply start from scratch learning Italian, this is the right lesson for you! I like to personalize each class/course according to the needs and goals of my students. My classes are focused on improving the student's communication skills. At beginner and lower intermediate levels, I prefer using a text book/ student book in the first part of the class. I usually use "Nuovissimo Progetto Italiano" and "Arrivederci" by Edilingua, or "Nuovo Espresso" and "Dieci" by Alma Publishing. For the second part of the lesson, I create engaging contents using original videos, press articles, extracts from blogs and social media, literary texts. If the students do not feel comfortable using Italian from scratch, I can switch to English, German, or Dutch. The course fee includes the correction of home assignments.
