About Me

Hello there! I am Sara, 24, Italin girl living in Italy but I am planning to move to Japan soon, to study the language and live in Tokyo.
I am also fluent in English and I have studied French and German in high school. I know some basic Spanish and Chinese. Some would say I really love languages, woundn't they?
All jokes aside, I am available to teach Italian and even some English, as I already have experience in teaching it to children, middle schoolers, and even adults! Just ask :)

After finishing high school, where I studied languages as a curriculum, I enrolled in Bologna at Alma Mater Studiorum, and I graduated in Anthropology, religions and oriental civilizations in 2020.

- I'm a professional Italian teacher from Italy, now living between Pisa and Rome. I have 10 years of teaching experience. I teach for all levels, from very beginners to advanced speakers, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I can also help with university exams and school works/assignments.
Being a pianist and a piano teacher, I already have lots of experience with teaching and pedagogical approach with the whole range of ages.

The lesson is intended to meet the student needs: the focus can be on the grammar, conversation or literature. In case of a middle-level speaker, the lesson will cover all four language's abilities: listening, speaking, writing and reading. My suggestion of a well planned lesson is, for any level, to divide it into two parts: grammar first and then conversation (covering all the abilities mentioned above).

If you wish to brush up your Italian, resume a past series of lessons, or simply start from scratch learning Italian, this is the right lesson for you! I like to personalize each class/course according to the needs and goals of my students. My classes are focused on improving the student's communication skills. At beginner and lower intermediate levels, I prefer using a text book/ student book in the first part of the class. I usually use "Nuovissimo Progetto Italiano" and "Arrivederci" by Edilingua, or "Nuovo Espresso" and "Dieci" by Alma Publishing. For the second part of the lesson, I create engaging contents using original videos, press articles, extracts from blogs and social media, literary texts. If the students do not feel comfortable using Italian from scratch, I can switch to English, German, or Dutch. The course fee includes the correction of home assignments.
