About Me

Hello! With over 23 years of international experience teaching languages, I'm thrilled to share my passion for Indonesian language and culture with you. For me, teaching is more than just imparting grammar rules; it's about building confidence, fostering genuine connection, and empowering my students to confidently navigate a new linguistic world.

My journey in language education began in Indonesia, where I spent approximately nine years teaching English in various settings – from private and group classes to in-house corporate training and public schools. This extensive foundation solidified my versatile teaching approach. Upon moving to Japan in 2009, I expanded my expertise, teaching both Indonesian and English.

Since 2009, I've dedicated myself to teaching Indonesian to diverse learners in Japan. My unique background includes providing highly effective language training to professionals from prestigious organizations like Yakult, etc, and as a guest speaker at JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency). This rich experience has given me a deep understanding of tailoring lessons to meet specific professional and personal goals for learners from various backgrounds.

Academically, my foundation in language is built on a Bachelor of Arts degree in French Language and Literature. My commitment to language pedagogy is further underscored by my TESOL Certificate and comprehensive Teacher Training Courses and Teacher Development Workshops at The British Institute.

As an instructor, I am known for being patient, supportive, and highly adaptable. I believe that learning a new language should be an enjoyable and empowering experience, and I strive to create a relaxed, encouraging, and highly communicative environment in every lesson.
