French teacher for foreigners and native French speaker, with a Master's degree in French as a Foreign Language and 21 years of experience teaching in private schools (Montpellier, Lyon, Minneapolis, Salvador da Bahia, Lisbon, Berlin, Barcelona, Brussels). I offer private lessons in: grammar, syntax, vocabulary, speaking and writing, phonetics, conversation, current events, DELF and DALF exam preparation, etc. I can also provide knowledge of Francophone literature, the humanities, theater, and other arts. My courses are based on listening to learners' needs, using effective teaching methods, and employing a dynamic approach and immersion in the French language! Of course, learners are expected to do some independent work, without using AI or any other application, in order to learn more effectively, practice, and exercise their own brainpower! And there's no age limit to learning!

I offer you a new learning experience.

Academic success, even at the university level, is determined by the ability to understand and write different types of texts. I offer courses that will allow you to overcome the difficulties you encounter in reading or writing by giving you the text-writing toolkit that school, unfortunately, doesn't provide. I myself had to build this toolkit over the years at university, and I will gladly share it with you so that you can succeed.

Here are the different points that my offer covers:

READING
Guided reading
Effective reading strategies
Text theory (structure, function, typology...)
General knowledge
Communication Theory

PRODUCTION
Reformulation
Summary
Reading log
Accurate
Text analysis
Characterization
Interpretation
Text explanation
Text commentary
Dissertation Essay
Comment
Argumentation

You can take a full course with regular sessions or one-off courses to do specific work such as writing a reading summary.

Lessons can be taken individually or in groups. The methods are flexible to adapt to each individual case.

What matters to me in particular:

motivate my student and give him a learning pace;
encourage their creativity;
to awaken his curiosity;
to forge a friendship with the texts

During this first lesson, you can get a solid idea of my teaching style. I look forward to meeting you.

Would you like to feel more confident speaking French, prepare for a language exam, or use French in your academic or professional life?

I'm a native French speaker with six years of experience teaching French to learners of different ages and proficiency levels. Between 2019 and 2025, I worked with students pursuing a variety of goals, from improving their conversational skills to preparing for B2 certification, gaining admission to study programmes in France, and finding employment there.

Together we can work on:
- Conversation and fluency: wo you understand French but find it difficult to speak spontaneously? We can practise everyday conversations, discuss topics that interest you, and work on expressing yourself more naturally and confidently.
- French for work and university: whether you need to write formal emails, contact a professor, prepare for a job interview, or communicate with colleagues, we can work on the language, tone, and expressions appropriate to each situation.
- Grammar and pronunciation: we can tackle the areas you find most challenging and work through examples that help you understand how French works in practice.
- Exam preparation: If you're preparing for a French language exam, including B2 certification, we can work towards your specific objectives and identify the areas where you need the most support.

Over time, I've learned that everyone approaches a language differently. That's why I like to adapt my lessons to your needs, interests, and objectives, while making the learning process engaging and practical. Learning a language becomes much more engaging when it connects with your interests and everyday life. Alongside more structured exercises, I like to use authentic materials such as films, songs, articles, and other contemporary media to explore how French is actually used.

Tell me a little about your level and what you'd like to achieve, and we can work out an approach that suits you! Depending on your goals, we might practise a conversation, discuss a film, work through a grammar point, prepare a formal email, or focus on a specific exam task. I'll adapt our lessons and exercises to your level and interests, so you can make progress without losing sight of what motivates you to learn.

Lessons are available online and in person in Groningen, either in a café, at the forum, or on campus!
