Experience / Qualifications

I had the opportunity to teach English as an additional language in Hong Kong during the summer of 2016 with WSE Cosmopolitan Summer Camp. Here, I taught children between 4 and 18 years old with varying levels of English, including a cohort from China.

I have spent the past two years as a Year 2 teacher in London. I have had experience of children from a wide variety of backgrounds. I also have taught children who have Special Educational Needs including ASD, ADHD and Dyslexia. Throughout these past two years I have also experienced dealing with extremely challenging behaviour. These experiences have enabled me to learn different pedagogical techniques to cater for the individual needs of children to ensure that their targets are met and expected progress is made. But most importantly I have ensured that children feel safe and excited to be in their learning environment.
