Before that I focused on engineering with maths and physics at Long Road sixth form in Cambridge and at the University of East London.

I have also achieved a teaching qualification, a Level 3 in Education & Training. In this course I lean't a lot of vital skills and tools that I will use to educate you.

I like to make learning interesting, where ever possible as I believe it not only makes it more enjoyable so you're more likely to keep focused. It also means you are more likely to remember what you have learn't if based around an amusing example.

Whether you need help with homework or would like to master the language, I can help you get it right.

I will personalise every class to best suit each students personal preference. So please let me know how I can further optimise your educational experience

Let's connect! Together we'll explore the best way *for you* to learn and practice English, based on your needs and goals! Whether you're at your ABCs or looking to polish up those business e-mails, I'm prepared to help you!

We all learn and connect with language(s) in very individual ways. Some of us are really more adept at picking up new vocab, while others will diligently study the rules first. Whatever *your* way, let's find out together and develop what could turn into an amazing journey into the world of English for you and perhaps a new sense of belonging to the world altogether.

I offer English classes for all levels and purposes: school, high-school, university, official exams, conversation, written assignment assistance, etc.

I am highly skilled in writing, vocabulary, and grammar in the English language, considering it my mother tongue, although I am Austrian. My accent is very neutral and international, as I went to International schools from the age of five and completed a degree in London. I spent my school years helping fellow students with their homework and conversational skills and my university years correcting and editing fellow students' essays.

I would tailor our classes to your needs and requirements - just let me know what it is you need to achieve and we will make it happen together!

The key points I will be able to help with:
- Written and spoken knowledge and understanding
- Grammar
- Pronunciation and vocabulary

Looking forward to speaking with you!

Meet me, Oum, your go-to professor for transforming French and English lessons into an engaging adventure! With years of experience teaching teenagers and adults in France, Greece, and Portugal, I’ve mastered the art of making grammar, vocabulary, communication, reading, and speaking both fun and effective.

In France, I've helped teenagers conquer English and adults speak it with confidence, all while keeping things lively and entertaining. In Greece and Portugal, I’ve brought the French language to life for my students, ensuring they enjoy every moment of learning. In all these countries, I have been teaching mathematics for under 16 years old, and I was able to make it an easy to absorb subject because of my advanced techniques in teaching and helping the kids/teenagers to get intrigued by the lesson. Learning is always fun because it speaks to our curiosity!

My approach? Combining interactive exercises, and relatable anecdotes to turn every lesson into a memorable experience. Ready to join the fun? Enroll in my classes today and see why my students love learning with me!

I'm a native English-speaking maths tutor with a BSc in Mathematics and an MSc in Finance, working with international school and GCSE/IGCSE students in Lisbon. I help students build confidence and improve their results across IGCSE (Edexcel), IB, and American Common Core curricula.

Recent results include a student who passed her GCSEs with the grade she needed for university, and a student who went from at risk of failing to a B in his final assessment, whose teacher noted a real change in both his understanding and his attitude toward the subject.

Having also coached and taught under-18s in sport (swimming and rugby), I've developed a patient, structured and encouraging style. I particularly enjoy working with students who feel stuck or have lost confidence in maths.

My lessons focus on:
• Clear step-by-step explanations
• Strengthening core maths foundations
• Exam technique and practice
• Building confidence and independent thinking

Based in Belém, offering lessons in person or online, whatever works best for your family.

Feel free to message me to discuss what your child needs.

What I propose:
I offer academic support up to high school level, but also courses for adults, depending on your needs.
• 🔬 Sciences: Life and Earth Sciences, Physics and Chemistry, Mathematics, Engineering Sciences
• 📖 Arts & Humanities: French, Philosophy, Economics, Law
• 🌍 Languages: Bilingual English, German (second foreign language)
• 🧭 Exams & guidance: Grand Oral, baccalaureate and choice of higher education — with a few years' hindsight to help you find your way.
• 🎨🎹 And also: piano and visual arts (drawing, painting, comics, animation...)

My way of working:
For me, a private lesson should not simply be used to do homework or learn a lesson by heart.
The goal is to understand, progress, gain autonomy and adaptability.
Whether it's for a simple boost, to regain confidence, or to overcome a difficulty, I want to be there to support each student according to their needs. And if a question or doubt arises outside of private lessons, I remain available to help the student whenever possible.

Truly tailored courses:
I attach great importance to ensuring that lessons are prepared and adapted to each student, to their level, their needs, but also to their personality and their way of learning.
So I'm not trying to recreate a miniature classroom! Here, we adapt!
Therefore, when possible, I like to receive in advance the chapters, concepts or exercises to work on in order to prepare the session and to offer suitable materials.

Feel free to send me a message, see you soon I hope! 😊
