After I matriculated, I volunteered at local Primary schools as an English and Afrikaans tutor. I assisted children of different age groups between 1 yrs old and 12 yrs old. I also took on coaching at the schools. I used to coach kids on boxing and soccer and came up with fun activities.

I am currently a Teacher Assistant at a Primary school. I provide support to the main teacher in the classroom. I am mainly a Grade 1 assistant, however there are times when the other grades acquire my assistance and I am happy to assist them. I help teachers with their admin in the mornings, run errands for them, make things lighter for them. I reinforce lessons by tutoring individual students or small groups. I hand out work books, text books to learners and oversee lesson preparations. I also take on small projects to help decorate the schools.
