About Me

Hello! I'm Luka,

A little about my professional background:

- Working in education since 2014.

- English as a Foreign Language teacher since 2017.

- Trinity CertTESOL qualified English language teacher.

- BA in English Language and Literature.

- Teaching experience in the UK, Spain and Austria, including working with Berlitz, Inlingua and private students.

My aim is to help improve your fluency, confidence, vocabulary, speaking and listening skills through conversational lessons. The lessons are designed to be relaxed and natural so that you feel more confident expressing yourself in English.

I prefer teaching in this way, as I believe the best way to learn is when you're having fun. I don't like the idea of forcing students to undertake tasks they're not interested in, filling out endless worksheets or going over boring exercises.

The idea behind my conversational lessons is simple: students should be discussing topics they genuinely enjoy. As the teacher, I correct mistakes, suggest alternative vocabulary and subtly guide the discussion to help improve their conversational skills.

I've seen how effective this approach can be over the years, helping students become more confident, improve their fluency and feel increasingly comfortable communicating in English.

A little about myself:

I'm originally from London and have spent several years living abroad in Vienna, Austria, and Granada, Spain. Living and working in different countries has given me the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life, experience different cultures and develop a real appreciation for language learning.

Outside teaching, I enjoy keeping active through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, climbing, hiking and fitness. I also enjoy creative projects, exploring new places and learning new things.

One of the things I enjoy most about teaching is getting to know my students, discovering their interests and having genuine conversations. It's particularly rewarding to see their confidence grow over time and watch them reach a point where speaking English feels natural rather than something they have to think about constantly.
