About Me
My passion for teaching (for over 7 years) has provided me with a unique skill set that I believe will be critical. My communication skills strengthened as I challenged myself to understand and respond to students’ questions while they tackled complex biological concepts. To convey material clearly to students with diverse learning styles, I developed different approaches to explain a single concept. I also embraced and supported a team culture, utilising student feedback to improve my own performance and encouraging students to engage each other in their learning.

Experience / Qualifications
My career as a scientist goes back a dozen years. During my PhD I spent several months at Stanford University visiting the children’s and veteran’s hospital. Prior to moving to Stockholm, I perused a medical degree from McGill University in Montréal, Canada. In parallel to the curriculum in Montréal, I was a research assistant at the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery at Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital working on how brain generates states of awake and sleep. After my masters in Switzerland I moved to Calgary, Canada where I was a Clinical research associate at Hotchkiss Brain Institute and Cumming school of medicine for clinical trials that were to demonstrate the benefits of endovascular treatment compared to conventional treatment for patients with acute ischemic stroke.
