University English Instructor| Started teaching English 9 years ago| Specializing in Conversational English.

My teaching approach is designed to develop communication skills above all. We watch or read materials, such as videos, articles, stories, poems, caricatures, then discuss them; we act out situations from everyday life; we take positions and practice debates. However, this doesn’t mean that we just practice speaking. I also make sure the learner is not running in circles. I’m here to ensure that they do not keep repeating the same mistakes or keep using the same expressions over and over in conversation.
In order to keep making progress, I take my student on a journey that involves:
• Improving their grammar.
• Fixing their pronunciation.
• Enriching their vocabulary by learning to use new words and common idioms.
By the end of this course, you should be able to speak English fluently and confidently.

PS: Because of my academic specialty, I also help with academic writing and creative writing.

My name is Nicolas, and I'm an English teacher with eight years of teaching experience. I've spoken English since I was a teenager and have continued to practice it through my many travels. My level was further improved during an extended stay in Canada. In 2018, I passed the TEFL Cambridge exam, the English as a Foreign Language Teaching Certificate.

Having also gone through the process of learning to speak this language, I am well aware of the different stages my students go through. This helps considerably.

Practice is prioritized throughout the learning process to foster independence as quickly as possible. Basic grammar and vocabulary concepts are also covered, depending on the student's level.

This course is aimed at:
- Beginners (basics, conversation, travel);
- Intermediate/advanced (improvement, exam preparation: TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC);
- Professionals (business English, interview preparation).

Hello everyone,
My name is Phillip. I am an experienced, native bilingual (USA/Switzerland) English teacher. Today, I am pleased to guide you in your learning from my office located in the wild and inspiring setting of western Ireland.

With many years of experience as a private tutor, I work with students from all backgrounds. However, over time, I have developed an approach that is particularly appreciated by seniors and retirees. Why? Because I am convinced that learning a language at this stage of life should first and foremost be a shared pleasure, a window onto the world, and a wonderful way to keep the mind sharp and curious.
My approach: Trust and kindness above all

Many of us have somewhat rigid memories of school learning. With me, forget the stress of mistakes or tedious grammar. My primary goal is to restore your confidence. We progress at your pace, with a gentle, patient, and personalized teaching approach. Whether you're starting from scratch or simply want to refresh your old school memories, I adapt completely to your needs.

What we can explore together:
- Travel English: So that your next trip abroad is synonymous with serenity (getting around, ordering in restaurants, communicating with locals without apprehension).

-Maintaining family ties: Ideal if you have bilingual grandchildren or grandchildren living abroad and you want to share more with them.

-Conversation & Culture: Discuss current events, literature, history or life in Ireland, while enjoying my clear and easy-to-understand native accent.

-Brain gymnastics: Using English as a fun and stimulating tool to maintain memory and cognitive plasticity.

Why choose me?
As a dual American and Swiss national living in Ireland, I bring a unique cultural richness to your life. I have a mastery of all the nuances of the English language, but I also have a perfect understanding of French culture and structure.

Practical and technological aspects:

We'll work together via Zoom or Google Meet, very simple and reliable tools. If you're worried about the technology, don't be: I'll guide you step by step during our first session so you feel completely comfortable on screen. It's much simpler than it seems!

Join me for a friendly and engaging experience, blending Swiss rigor, American optimism, and the legendary warmth of Ireland. Let's transform your English practice into a truly enriching human adventure.
Nice to meet you,

Phillip

You understand English, but the words do not come when you have to speak? I'm Ben, a native English teacher, CELTA qualified (over 10 years of experience, IELTS, TEFL). I built my own AI coaching assistant: it spots what holds your speaking back and creates exercises from your own mistakes, so that you speak with confidence in a fraction of the time of a regular course.

Hello, I'm Ben, a native English teacher, CELTA qualified, with over 10 years of experience (IELTS, TEFL). I have taught children, teenagers and adults, online and in person, in France, Turkey and Australia, and online with students in China and all over the world.

Most lessons show you what went wrong during the lesson. Mine tell you what to fix next, and give you the practice to fix it.

I teach because I love learning languages and I love showing people that they can learn them far more easily than they think. Traditional methods make it hard, but learning can be easy, enjoyable, interesting, inspiring and faster than you expect. I taught myself French, Spanish and Turkish, and I can show you how to do the same.

The students I like to work with are genuinely motivated to improve and ready to put in 15 minutes every day, following a clear, simple and effective system, to improve in a few weeks, not a few years.

I use the latest technology alongside proven methods. I built my own AI coaching assistant for language learning (AI Coaching Assistant Agent for Language Training): it analyses your speaking to pinpoint exactly what holds your English back, then creates exercises for your particular needs. Together we build your full language profile (pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, fluency) and put a system of regular practice in place, so that you speak fluently in a fraction of the time of a regular course.

How it works:

Your language profile. At the start, I record and analyse your speaking, using my AI assistant and my teacher's ear. This shows your pronunciation habits, your recurring grammar errors, the breadth of your vocabulary and your fluency, so that we work on what matters for you rather than on a generic syllabus.

Exercises made for you. My assistant and I create exercises from your own mistakes and your own goals: a job interview, IELTS, meetings or everyday conversation. You never practise what you already know.

A routine that sticks. We set up regular practice between lessons, short and realistic, with a new analysis to measure your progress. This is what shortens the road to fluency, because most of the learning happens between lessons.

First lesson: we assess your level, clarify your goals and start your language profile. You leave with a practical plan built around how you learn best. Whether it is for work, study, travel or pleasure, book your first lesson.
