About Me

Hello)! My name is Alexandra! I'm originally from Kyiv (Ukraine) but now I'm based in Izmir (Turkey).
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Linguistics, and I also have a TESOL Certificate.
I was a classroom teacher for 5 years and now I've been teaching English online for 1 year and I love this experience. I was teaching students from 4-15 years old as well as adults.

I use new methods and techniques to make learning the language much easier and funnier. I want to share with you the most common methods which I use in my lessons :
1. Total Physical Response, otherwise known as TPR is an approach that follows the idea of ‘learning by doing. Beginners will learn English through a series of repetitive actions such as “Stand up”, “Open your book”, “Close the door”, and “Walk to the window and open it.” With TPR, the most important skill is aural comprehension and everything else will follow naturally later.
2. Communicative Language Teaching (CLT)
The idea behind this approach is to help learners communicate more effectively and correctly in realistic situations that they may find themselves in. This type of teaching involves focusing on important functions like suggesting, thanking, inviting, complaining and asking for directions to name but a few.
3. Method I use if students prefer learning more deep grammar and also making accent on vocabulary.
Anyway, I am always open for my students and ready to help with any English questions that appeared at our lessons!)
