Arabic for Real Life, Study, and Faith
Learning Arabic is about more than memorizing words. It’s about understanding how the language works and using it with confidence. I’ve designed my lessons to help you build all the core skills together: vocabulary, reading, listening, speaking, and grammar.
I offer three tracks, so you can choose the one that fits your goals:
Academic Arabic (Modern Standard Arabic): For university study, exams, and formal reading and writing. You’ll work with authentic texts and learn to analyze and understand them accurately.
Conversational Arabic: For everyday communication. You’ll practice speaking from the first lesson and learn natural expressions you can use right away.
Arabic for Muslims: For understanding the Quran, hadith, and Islamic texts in their original language. You’ll learn the key vocabulary and structures that open the meaning of these texts directly.
In every lesson, you’ll:
– Learn new words and expressions in context, so you remember them and know how to use them
– Read texts and understand both their meaning and their structure
– Train your ear with listening practice at your level
– Speak and get gentle, clear correction
– Understand the logic of Arabic grammar instead of just memorizing rules
Lessons are tailored to your level, from complete beginner to advanced. My aim is to help you not only learn Arabic, but to think in it and feel at home with it.

About Me
Hello, I’m Mai! I’m an Egyptian Arabic teacher living in Türkiye, and Arabic has been my passion for as long as I can remember. For more than 15 years, I’ve been helping students from all over the world discover the beauty and logic of this language.
I’m also a language learner myself. I learned English and Turkish, so I know what it feels like to face a new language and an important exam. This helps me understand where your mistakes come from and how we can overcome them together.
What kind of teacher am I? Organized, patient, and encouraging. I love explaining why Arabic works the way it does, so you build correct language with confidence instead of just memorizing rules. Outside teaching, I love reading, Arabic poetry, writing, and handicrafts like drawing and decoupage. That artistic side shows up in my lessons: I design my board carefully so it becomes a visual space where the language is stored, neat and easy to remember.
What are my lessons like? Every lesson has a clear goal. We start with materials suited to your level (texts, audio, and visuals), then move through step-by-step practice until you speak and write on your own. We work on all four skills together: reading, listening, speaking, and writing, along with vocabulary and grammar.
Who do I teach? Complete beginners to advanced learners, university students and academics, candidates preparing for the ACTFL OPI, Muslims who want to understand the Quran and Islamic texts, and anyone who wants to speak Arabic in real life. I especially enjoy curious students who ask “why?”
Let’s make learning Arabic an enjoyable and meaningful journey. I look forward to meeting you!
