About Me

Hi! My name is Gerda and I have worked as an EFL teacher for over 20 years now, in many different countries, so I am very experienced and professional. I teach all levels from young children to adults, beginners to advanced. I have my own teaching style which I have acquired over the years using a variety of methodologies and resources, which have benefitted my students and made thier learning experience fun, interesting, and fruitful. Hello! I have been teaching English for five years, to adults and children alike. I offer classes that are uniquely adapted to the students needs and their interests. My aim is to build my student's confidence, by following their line of inquiry — engaging in a rich, and increasingly challenging dialogue with the individual.

We will begin by identifying the student's greatest interests — those subjects they are most curious about and topics that stimulate them. These topics will be "stimulators", fueling conversations and language activities that the student themselves will eventually lead. Then, we will identify the student's biggest worries regarding the English language — where they are confused, or tend to make mistakes. This will form the workshop part of the lesson, focused on overcoming tricky grammatical mistakes and revising more complex linguistic and phonetic errors.
