Hello, I am Federico, a professional classical pianist, concert performer, and teacher. I am here to propose a high-level program designed to learn how to play the piano. My work is not improvised but is the result of decades of study with great international masters, both performers and educators. The lessons are aimed at students who are approaching the piano for the first time but are highly motivated and eager to dedicate themselves to the instrument, as well as advanced students who are preparing for concerts, competitions, and exams. All necessary materials will be provided by me, lesson by lesson. It will be necessary to have an instrument at home (even a digital one to start).

About Me
I started studying the piano when I was 9 years old, and since then, it has always been my life. It has taken me around the world, allowed me to have unforgettable experiences, and introduced me to people I will never forget. I have dedicated a significant part of my life to piano study, competitions, masterclasses, and concerts. Now, it's time for me to share my experience by helping the new generations get into piano playing. There is less and less interest in classical music, and it is our duty to keep it alive more than ever. Like all beautiful things, it cannot be appreciated unless you know it, and like all beautiful things, you will only get closer to it with some effort. However, the satisfaction will be immense. Many of my students continue their studies at important music institutions, and some of them have already entered the professional world of concert performance.
Education
Federico began studying piano at the age of 9 and then graduated with honors from the Vincenzo Bellini music institute in Catania. He later attended the Academia Internacional de Musica "Aquiles delle Vigne" in Coimbra under the guidance of M. Aquiles delle Vigne, and simultaneously obtained a second-level academic diploma in musical disciplines from the institute in Catania. He continued his studies with M. Corrado Ratto and in 2016 he earned a Master of Arts in music pedagogy from the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in the class of Anna Kravtchenko. He then attended the Master of Arts in music performance at the same Swiss institution.
He has won first prizes in dozens of national and international competitions, including the first prize at the Eliodoro Sollima competition in Enna, the first prize at the 18th edition of the international Gianluca Campochiaro competition, and numerous other prizes in national and international competitions. He attended masterclasses at the International Summer Academy Salzburg under the guidance of Aquiles delle Vigne and in 2008 was admitted as an effective participant in the international Musica Arvenzis masterclass held in Bratislava by Peter Cerman. He has also perfected his skills with Maestro Franco Scala and Leslie Howard. In 2017, he recorded a CD entitled "The Journey" for KSN Classical featuring music by Rachmaninoff, Debussy, Liszt, and Mussorgsky. He regularly performs concerts as a soloist and in chamber formations, and has played for important musical institutions, festivals, theaters, and associations, for RAI, the Steinway Society, for the Zandonai theater in Rovereto and the philharmonic hall, the Mozarteum in Salzburg, and the Garibaldi theater in Enna.
He is part of the piano duo FERDIS, in collaboration with M. Federico Distefano. The duo regularly performs concerts throughout Italy, always maintaining a project-oriented approach. The duo's instinct is to create musical innovations through a profound research into a repertoire that ranges from Baroque to contemporary. In February 2020, the Ferdis duo performed and recorded a rare transcription of "Primavera in Val di Sole" by R. Zandonai for four hands for the Zandonai study center.
