About Me

Since the age of 3 Emily has had a keen passion for dance and movement. She attended numerous Performing Arts Schools where she undertook British Theatre Dance Association examinations in Tap, Ballet, Modern, Acrobatics and Jazz. Emily both competed and performed on stage from a young age.

When attending Bishop Walsh Catholic Secondary School Emily went on to study Contemporary Dance at both GCSE and A-Level where she achieved A*. As a result Emily was encouraged to take peruse her dance studies further, she studied a 3 year degree in Dance at DeMontfort University.

After leaving University Emily went on to teach all different styles of dance to children of all ages in Schools within Birmingham, this allowed her to gain further knowledge and experience about the structure of Physical Education lessons and how important it was for Children to have the time and space to express themselves creatively. After a year and half of teaching in Schools Emily became interested in how an individual's wellbeing could be impacted by movement, both physically and psychologically.

This Interest lead her to begin a 2 year Masters course in Dance Movement Psychotherapy at the

University of Derby. During this time Emily developed a fascination in working alongside individuals with additional needs, she understood that Dance and Movement was another language in its own right. With this in mind Emily began to research further into this notion, she sought placements in a Special Needs School, Elderly Care Home and early years Dance classes. Emily is a registered Dance Therapist with ADMP.

In early 2018 Emily founded Dance4U, offering children and adults with and without additional needs Dance lessons and Dance therapy sessions across the globe.

🥇 Ritmo Latino: Private lessons of SALSA and BACHATA in Geneva or at your home 🏠. Beginner, intermediate, advanced levels. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
● All levels ● All ages ● Flexibility to suit your musical tastes. 💃 Hello everyone!! Get ready to add some spice to your moves and dive into the electrifying world of Latin music! My name is Evelyn, a dance enthusiast from Peru, currently residing in Geneva while pursuing my master's degree. 🎶 I invite you to join my exciting dance classes, where I will guide you through the infectious rhythms of salsa, bachata, and zumba, infusing each lesson with the unique flavors of Latin American culture. 🎯 My main goal is your comfort, because to me, dance is a way to express yourself and live life fully. I want my students to enjoy every step without any pressure and to experience the joy of moving to Latin rhythms. My classes are open to all ages. I look forward to awakening the dancer within you and connecting you with the rhythms that make our hips sway and our hearts sing! ☘️ When I start working with students, they often repeat the same patterns—mechanical, rigid steps memorized from 1 to 7. Dancing becomes a mere imitation rather than a natural expression. I’m here to help you transform what you’ve learned in group classes and take your dancing to the next level. In my classes, I teach you to feel salsa and bachata. If you feel them, you’ll be able to dance anywhere, with anyone, with confidence and flow. We’ll work from the foundation: ✔️ You’ll learn to identify and follow the rhythm. ✔️ You’ll understand transitions and how to adapt to them. ✔️ You’ll develop your skills in partner dancing. From the very first class, we’ll correct what’s necessary so that you don’t just improve—you build a solid foundation that allows you to express yourself naturally. Are you ready to feel the dance? 💃🔥 🌟 P.S.: Besides teaching Latin dances, I have experience in creating custom choreographies for weddings and special events. If you have a choreography in mind, feel free to share it, and we’ll learn it together! FAQ ● Do I need dance shoes? No, that is not necessary. I recommend coming with comfortable shoes. ● What should I wear? I suggest you come in light clothes in which you feel comfortable. ● Alone or accompanied? You can come either alone or with a partner. I also offer couples classes. ● Other questions? Feel free to contact me!

Carla
Argentinian tango. CAUSE AND EFFECT. Communication in dance as a tool in relationships.
📌It doesn't always take two for things to work... To begin to connect, assimilate and experiment with new KNOWLEDGE, the most IMPORTANT thing is the body, the attitude, perseverance and a great pinch of confidence! I always like to approach the codes of different dance disciplines, based on structures that work on the physical, rhythmic, and creative aspects. There is an idea that Tango is difficult to learn, and of course if we approach it with that label, it will be that way. Starting from the main concept of tango, WALKING, something that we all do most of the time, dancing tTANGO is within everyone's reach.🤗 Another very important point is the way to assimilate and understand it 😉😅 ❤️‍🔥What will the classes be like, you ask? I'll tell you a little bit, we are going to develop the structure in the work of weight changes, the step, projection of the walk, the pivot, understanding the kinesphere individually and as a couple translated into the hug, the turns and the spiral torso to understand the momentum in various exercises, the eights so famous in tango, the basic step and universal exit, walks with the concept of lanes and much more from various sequences that familiarize you with the technical needs to be able to perform the steps without leaving aside the dynamics, pulse, accent and compas of the tango. Everything will be raised in the background in a more organic way. It's not just about learning individual steps, and then...what do we do 🧐? It is not the form that should take the leading role, but the way in which you express that form. We will also let your creative and playful side be part of the process, through a tool that I consider very valuable, which is improvisation 👌 since it allows you to find your own style and recognize your strengths and weaknesses to continue growing in your passion for dance. With all these tools, entering the world of more complex sequences and why not, creating your own, will be one more step and not an impossible challenge to achieve.🤩 Don't forget that the steps that are known today and a large part of the sequences emerged from a restless and creative mind, which explored synonymous with IMPROVISE❗️ Let's go through the process together and hold each other in a hug.
