Italian Conversation Through Media & Current Affairs
From 56.65 C$ /h
This class is designed for students who want to practice spoken Italian through real conversations about media, news, and contemporary Italian society.
Instead of artificial dialogues, we talk about what Italians actually discuss today: songs, TV shows, social media trends, current events, politics, and cultural debates. Each lesson is structured but flexible, adapting to the student’s level and interests.
My goal is to help students speak more confidently, expand vocabulary, and improve fluency, while also understanding the cultural context behind the language. Corrections are gentle and constructive, focusing on clarity and natural expression rather than perfection.
This is a conversation-based class, but grammar and expressions are explained when needed and always in context.

About Me
I am a Master’s student in Semiotics and Communication with a strong interest in language, culture, and contemporary Italian society.
My teaching style is relaxed, interactive, and culture-based: I believe people learn languages better when they understand how and why a language is used in real life, not only through grammar rules.
In my lessons, we work with songs, media, pop culture, current affairs, and social debates (from Sanremo to politics, from everyday habits to major cultural phenomena) to improve Italian naturally and in context.
I adapt each lesson to the student’s level and interests, keeping them challenged but never overwhelmed.
I enjoy teaching curious students, absolute beginners as well as learners who want to go beyond textbook Italian and understand the country, its culture, and the way people really speak.

This class is designed for expats living in Italy who want to improve their Italian through real-life conversations and everyday situations, including navigating Italian bureaucracy and public services.
We focus on practical spoken Italian used in daily life, such as talking to doctors, landlords, colleagues, university staff, and dealing with public offices, Poste Italiane, online portals, and administrative procedures. Lessons are conversation-based, relaxed, and adapted to each student’s level and needs.
The goal is to help students feel confident speaking Italian in real situations, understand cultural habits, and communicate clearly, even in complex or stressful contexts like bureaucracy. Grammar and vocabulary are introduced naturally and always connected to practical use.
