British English pronunciation

We’ll start by identifying which features of your speech have the greatest effect on clarity. From there, we can work systematically on individual sounds, word stress, sentence rhythm, connected speech and intonation. You’ll learn to hear the differences, produce them accurately and use them in sentences and real conversations. The aim is clearer speech that still sounds like you.

Voice and delivery

The way you use your voice affects how easily people follow your ideas. We can work on pace, pauses, emphasis, vocal variety and breath support, especially if you tend to rush, speak without enough variation or lose your place when speaking under pressure. You’ll practise these skills using material that is relevant to your work.

Professional communication

We can prepare for the situations you regularly face, including meetings, presentations, client calls and workplace conversations. Alongside speaking practice, we can work on organising your thoughts, making your point concisely, handling unexpected questions and choosing language that fits the situation.

Interview preparation

If an important interview is approaching, we can focus on the changes likely to have the most immediate impact. We’ll practise clear, concise answers, reduce distracting filler words and refine your pronunciation and delivery. Role-specific questions and realistic interview practice will help you apply those skills under pressure.

Your lessons will follow a clear plan based on your goals. You’ll receive specific feedback during each session and focused practice to help you make progress between lessons.

About Me

Hello, I’m Emily, a British English tutor and Pronunciation, Voice & Communication Coach from London, now based in Switzerland.

I specialise in helping international professionals speak more clearly and confidently in English. I have over eight years of teaching experience, a 120-hour TEFL certificate and specialist training in accent coaching, British English pronunciation and voice development.

Before becoming a teacher, I worked across supply chain, sales, and customer-facing roles. That experience helps me understand the communication challenges professionals face in meetings, presentations and conversations with clients.
