I have six years' experience of teaching Academic English to Ph.D. students at Shandong University of Technology (SDUT) in Zibo, Shandong Province. This course will help any Chinese student who wants to study in the West and help them develop Western-style writing skills and critical thinking skills they need when studying at Western universities.

Since moving to China I have taught IELTS to students from high school to Ph.D. level. I currently prepare SDUT students for study at the University of Limerick (UL) in Ireland.

Previously, I worked as an archivist in the Irish Traditional Music Archive where I wrote articles for various publications as well as editing many of Archive's publications. Prior to that I also worked as a journalist providing copy to Raidio na Gaeltachta and the Munster Express newspaper (all in the Republic of Ireland).
