My name is Grazia and I am a native Italian teacher and cultural anthropologist.

My teaching method is mainly based on three factors:

TOTAL IMMERSION. From the very first moment we will communicate exclusively in Italian (including hand gestures which are so dear to us Italians!).

BILINGUAL and BICULTURAL.
A language is not only made up of words and grammar, it is a network of stories that connect all people who use it presently and have used it in the past. A language has within itself all the knowledge of a linguistic community. At the same time, culture cannot exist without a language to describe it. For this reason, I have chosen to teach using a two-way approach. The goal is to learn how to linguistically experience another culture and therefore learn how to use another language in a culturally effective and appropriate way.

FUN. This is the ingredient that absolutely cannot be overlooked! In class, you bring a smile, your curiosity and desire to learn and I’ll bring my experience!

My education and work experience gained in the artistic, cultural and academic fields, both in Italy and abroad, are my "tools".

For the past two decades, I've had the privilege of tutoring in both French and English. My students have ranged in age, background, and origin, spanning children, teenagers, adults, professionals, and even seniors aged 85 and above.

I teach for all levels, from very beginners to advanced speakers, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I can also help with university exams and school works/assignments.
Being a pianist and a piano teacher, I already have lots of experience with teaching and pedagogical approach with the whole range of ages.

To the uninitiated, a grammar book seems to be written in another language because the meaning of the words is incomprehensible. In a down-to-earth way, I'll translate the grammar into familiar words. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning while having a positive mindset.

Learning a foreign language is not a linear process that consists of memorising a list of words, and speaking a foreign language is not an oral translation exercise.

There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge:

When asked what year follows 1999, you can immediately answer 2000 without having to think for a long time and, above all, without having memorised each number individually, starting with 1, 2, 3 ... You know that numbers are formed according to a certain pattern. With only ten digits, you can form an infinite number of numbers and always know which number comes next.

When it comes to the alphabet, words and sentences, it's more or less the same, but school pedagogy, school textbooks and regular lessons still follow the rote learning approach. In the lessons I propose, you will learn to use patterns because this is more efficient and faster.

Learning is easy, but unlearning bad habits is extremely difficult. This makes it all the more important to learn the right reflexes as early as possible.
