Conversational Spanish class - Learn the beauty of Spanish with a native teacher.
From 26.62 C$ /h
There are a lot of reasons to learn a new language: being able to communicate better with people from different cultures; new job options; acquiring new knowledge; being able to read and watch movies in another language, and so on. Culture and tradition are what makes us rich. Being able to learn from a new one is a beautiful thing.
Spanish is spoken in 21 different countries, imagine the possibilities that come with this language. There's so much literature, history, traditions, music, comedy, words, and words to learn. In this class, I am going to focus on teaching you this side of Spanish, the one that makes it fun, beautiful, and diverse. I will teach you about our tradition in Arts, literature, filmography, and music. Also about how politics have worked through our history, and how history has shaped us as people. I will talk about how diverse our dialects and words can be, teaching you our idioms, expressions, and all of the things you cannot learn in a simplified workbook. Why do we talk the way we talk? Why does it sound different when you say it and how can you improve that? Why do we have so many verb tenses? How do letters such as H, LL, and Ñ work, and where do they come from?
This is not the class where you will learn Spanish the usual way, rather a space to learn to love its roots and take it to a higher level of practice. This is where you can bring all of your curiosities and find new ones. This is where you will find new conversation topics, and you will practice your Spanish in a more realistic way without being afraid of any judgment.
The class also shapes itself to your own interests and needs. I will focus on the skills and information you desire to acquire.

About Me
A true class should leave you with a new experience you couldn't find anywhere else.
Words carry us, our culture and tradition, through language. They can be tasteless or tasteful, sound like poetry or a wrecked car, make us feel in Heaven or Hell. This is why we should always learn languages hand in hand with its peoples' history. This is what I care about, I want to teach Spanish in a way people can find its beauty and enjoy its diversity.
Are you a visual learner? Logical learner? Any other type of learner? My classes suit your needs and your own process of learning. You can start by taking a class, where we can figure out the course that will work better for you. Maybe you want to take the fun path, or maybe you want the methodical path that will get you through a DELE test. It is all acceptable.
I do not think everyone needs grammar to speak a new language, but I also believe one should not look at grammar with an ill heart. It should not be something to learn as hard inflexible rules, for it actually is what explains the mystery of how a language came to life and keeps breathing.
Through my Spanish classes, I want to give something that people won't forget and that it's about life itself rather than just empty information. I can talk endlessly about literature, art, films, words, etc. And it's always ok to not say things correctly, I understand we are all always learning and will never judge, only teach how to say it better.
