Programming 1-on-1: Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C++, C# & Web Development
From 38 C$ /h
Learn to program with a practical, patient approach. I'm a working software engineer with a bachelor's degree in informatics, and I teach students who want to truly understand code, not just copy it.
Languages and technologies I can teach:
- Java, C++ and C#: fundamentals, object-oriented programming, data structures and algorithms
- JavaScript and TypeScript: from the basics to modern syntax, typing and working with APIs
- HTML & CSS: building and styling real web pages
- SQL and relational databases: queries, joins and database design
What we can do together:
- Learn programming from scratch, step by step, with no prior knowledge needed
- Work through university or school assignments and prepare for exams
- Build a small project from idea to working result
- Understand concepts you are stuck on, such as recursion, pointers, OOP or async code
- Prepare for a technical interview or your first job in IT
- Learn good practices used in real-world software development: clean code, debugging, version control (Git)
Lessons are 45 minutes long and fully adapted to you. We write code together, I explain the reasoning behind each step, and you gradually take over. Beginners are very welcome, and so are students who already know the basics and want to move forward faster.
Lessons are available online, or in person in Zagreb. They can be held in English or Croatian.

About Me
Hi, I'm Filip, a software engineer based in Zagreb, Croatia. I work in software development every day, and I also love teaching. Tutoring is something I have been doing since high school, when I helped my classmates with math and Italian.
I teach programming (Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, C++, C#, HTML/CSS and SQL), mathematics for primary and secondary school students, and English and Italian for beginners and intermediate learners. I spent a school year in Italy as an exchange student, so I know what it's like to learn a language by actually living in it.
As a teacher, I'm patient and practical. I care more about you understanding why something works than about memorizing it, so we solve real problems together, step by step, and you gradually take over. I'm happiest working with students who are curious, even if they feel stuck or "bad" at the subject right now. Mistakes are a normal part of learning, and I'll never make you feel bad about them.
Lessons are 45 minutes long and adapted to your level and goals. We can meet online or in person in Zagreb, and I can teach in English or Croatian. Send me a message and tell me what you'd like to work on!

Learn Italian in a relaxed, practical way, with lessons built around what you actually need.
I spent a full school year in Italy as an exchange student, attending school and living day to day in Italian. That's where I learned the language the way it's really spoken, and I've since helped classmates with Italian as well. I know which parts of the language usually trip learners up and how to explain them simply.
What we can work on:
- Speaking and everyday conversation (travel, daily life, meeting people)
- Basic grammar, explained step by step with plenty of examples
- Vocabulary and pronunciation
- Help with school assignments and homework
- Preparing for a trip, an exchange or a move to Italy
Lessons are 45 minutes long and adapted to your level and goals, whether you are starting from zero or want to get more fluent. Mistakes are completely normal in my lessons, we learn from them together.

Math doesn't have to be scary. With the right explanation, most students find it makes sense, and I'm here to help you get there.
I'm a software engineer with a bachelor's degree in informatics, and I have tutored math throughout my own school years, helping classmates and younger students. I focus on understanding why a method works, not just memorizing formulas, so you can solve tasks you haven't seen before.
I teach students at every stage of school, whatever the national curriculum:
- Primary school: arithmetic, fractions, decimals, basic geometry and word problems
- Lower secondary: algebra, equations, ratios and percentages, geometry, introduction to functions
- Upper secondary / high school: functions, trigonometry, sequences, exponential and logarithmic functions, analytic geometry, probability and statistics, introduction to calculus
- Homework help and catching up on topics you missed
- Preparation for school tests, final exams and national or international exams
Every country teaches math a little differently, so bring your own textbook, notes or assignments and we will work with exactly what your school expects. Lessons are 45 minutes long and adapted to your pace: we go through the topic step by step, solve tasks together, and then you try some on your own while I guide you. Students who feel they are "bad at math" are especially welcome.
