About Me
Hello there,
My name is Balint, I am a Hungarian Software Engineer, currently living and working in Dundee, Scotland. I am happy to help you get better in coding / software and/or related fields (maths, AI).
In terms of teaching / tutoring experience, there are 2 things to note:
1) As I have quite a bit of experience in industrial software engineering, I helped many of my (younger) peers at the University of St Andrews during our MSc course (2019-2020).
2) I currently have 4 tutees that I work with 1-2 times per week with each (3 of them in an online environment, with 1 face-to-face).
The best way to teach programming / computer science is through examples. Many, many examples. Theory (for the purpose of teaching Computer Science here) is important as long as it supports the practical applications / practical aspect of writing software.
I now have a sound understanding of what the curriculum is in the UK (for various levels) and am fully prepared and capable to deliver the knowledge required for these levels, regardless of the programming language in question (whether it is Python, Java, Javascript, C/C++, etc.).
